walk in it.

walk in it

It has been a little over two months that I blog and my apologies for that. Alot has happened since the year started. Good things I might add. I have been thus inspired from last night’s Small Group in Miami Springs and for the love God has demonstrated to new relationships I have formed in the start on the new CF Campus in Miami Springs. Furthermore, alot of prayers have been answered and it has left me beyond humbled.  I have seen God’s faithfulness on a whole other level as I have prayed without ceasing according to His will. He has clearly shown me the way to walk in the good works that He had prepared before the foundations of the world.  This verse has been nudging at my heart for the past few weeks. Ephesians 2:8-10 which states  “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” But now what? is exactly what I have asked myself.  Wrestling with my will verses God’s will has always been a tough one for me because in my mind I have clearly painted a picture of what life was suppose to look like. But who am I kidding? I do not have that authority. Since my transformation of coming to know the living King, Jesus Christ, I have realized that it was never about me to begin with. I was bought with a price – a price that I should have paid, but Jesus Christ interceded on my behalf, being my Advocate – living a sinless life and dying a sinner’s death, resurrected on the third day to be with God the Father. The life I know live, I live to Christ. We are to walk as He walked everyday  remember? (1 John 2:6). I live to bring Him glory and seek to continue to walk  in the good works. What JOYPhillippians 1:6 says “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” I believe it – to walk firmly in His ways according to the will of God. We may not know which way to go, but if we press on towards Christ and His Kingdom business, the Holy Spirit will guide us and say “this is the way, walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21) We just need to be willing to die to ourselves daily in order to find our lives in Him, surrender all of  “our desires” to Christ as He continues to sancitifies in the power of His will. (Matthew 16:24-25) Remember we walk by faith not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7). Sometimes, I think I don’t make any sense becuase from one though to another from one bible verse to another – yeah thats my brain for ya – It’s all chaotically puzzled perfectly in one piece. Be patient with me.

I am no Bible expert, but I have found that clearly, every word, chapter, and book in the Bible is all about God – His glory and His Son, Jesus Christ. There is no denying it. He shows us how to live as we continue to perservere and hope for His return. The phrase that I kept stumbling across from last night to this morning was The Will of God – repeated many times in the Scriptures and clearly for a reason. So with that said, why not encourage you all to read the following Scriptures as a Son or Daughter of Christ on the “Will of God?” Please note that I searched on the ESV Bible App Bible verses on “Will of God.”   =p

“Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. 17 If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority. 18 He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.” John 7:16-19

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:1-2

“Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.” 1 Peter 4:9

“For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.”                                         1 Thessalonians 4:3-8

“Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.” Ephesians 6:5-8

“For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” 1 John 2:16-17
